On Feb 9-11, we had a group of Italians from Verbania come here to Naples. It was such a great experience! A group of students here had taken one Italian to their house for two nights. The girl that had visit my house is named Vittoria same as mine! When she first came to my house we had dropped off all of her stuff and then we ate our dinner. She told me it was quiet different but she loved it! After eating we left so I could show her around base. We went to the NEX, the food court and everything else on base. It was so fun. After this we just ended up going home and going to sleep since it was late.
The next day of this project was going to school. Before coming to school we went to the cafe to get us a drink then we headed off to school. For first period we just had to go to Miss Pennasilico’s room for a talk. After the talk it was time to show the Italians our school routine! My correspondent and I stayed in Miss P’s room because she was my teacher at the moment. Vittoria was actually a big help because she helped me do class work and she also even learned some English. I think the school do went well and she loves this school a lot. The next and final day was a study trip. We went to downtown Naples and explored the beautiful place. I think that this whole program was just a great time, and going over there to visit them will be more fun! ~Victoria Lopez
