On Wednesday we had an Italian students come into our class. The student I got to work with on our vacation project was amazing. His name was Eduardo and he supplied me with many different phrases that will help me get my meaning across more clearly in the Italian language. We wrote and added words that he quickly and efficiently edited to make sense. We were even able to add some Italian humor. I really enjoyed working with Eduardo. |

On Jan. 15 I hosted a class of Italian High School students from Liceo linguistico Benincasa in Naples. They were paired off with some of my students and Italian club members. As usual, they attended their hosts' regular classes and learned about the American school system. The Italian students who were hosted in my Italian III class worked with my students on a writing and speaking activity. Here's a list of comments from my students.

On Nov 26, 2013 some students from Italian II & Yearbook classes participated in a study trip downtown Naples with a class of Italian students from a school in San Giorgio a Cremano. The Italian students, led by Professor Enzo Milano, acted as tour guides for our students and showed them around Piazza Plebiscito, the Royal Palace and the Egg Castle. At the end of the tour, all students enjoyed a delicious pizza in one of the pizza places on the waterfront. Hopefully, students from both schools will keep in touch and practice their target languages.
